Filthy Queens is my second book for independent Irish publisher Nine Bean Rows. It's a great academic (almost) text only book about the history of beer in Ireland alongside some of the biggest events in the islands history, it's very well written and funny. The author Dr Christina Wade is a beer historian specialising in the hidden histories of women, especially those in the brewing trade, she received her doctorate in History from Trinity College Dublin. The book is brilliantly illustrated by Tobias Hall.
